Remember Girl’s World styling heads? Yep, that’s how my passion for hair truly began. From a young age, I always knew I wanted to work with all aspects of hair, and the public. Towards the end of my school education, I was extremely lucky to attend a few days’ work experience at the Glyndebourne opera house in East Sussex. This consisted of shadowing the hair and make-up team and costume designers whilst productions ran. This was truly inspiring to see first-hand. My dream was naturally headed towards hair and make-up for film & TV, however my love for all things hair gradually took over and it’s fair to say, I’ve never looked back!
Where it began
Whilst having over 10 years’ experience in the hair industry, I always see myself learning new skills every day and am constantly exploring new techniques. I am creative, driven and reliable. Fully qualified in creative colour and cutting, I am also a blonde specialist which enables me to utilise my skills, knowledge and expertise to create a truly niche service. My most recent achievement is being Great Lengths hair extensions certified.
I am also proud to be reputable bridal specialist, with a bursting portfolio of beautiful, happy brides. I love to share my knowledge and help teach my clients about their own hair and the best products and tools that will maintain beautiful hair for longer.
The best part of my job? I don’t see it as a job. There is nothing better than knowing that you’ve made someone’s day.
Emily Rose Hair journey began with pushing myself out of my comfort zone and fully investing my time to create experiences that was more than just your regular cut and style. Everybody wants to feel special and nurtured, and this, I believe, is the service that I offer.
When I’m not styling hair, my obsession for scrolling the latest trends and ‘up-dos’ takes over. I am always eager to invest in new and upcoming education.
About me
When I first started my business, I really wanted to make it more than just a salon experience. I wanted to make sure that my clients felt relaxed and soaked up the time they had away from kids, life or just the regular hustle and bustle of the working week. I adore the fact that my clients feel able to open up and share while feeling safe and re-energized.
A huge advocate of investing in your own education, I have been extremely lucky to have attended many courses, including the WELLA studios in London and New York. Becoming a certified Great Lengths Hair Extensionist gives my brides and clients endless ways to create longer and thicker hair. This is also an incredible, safe option for any person that may have gone through a personal cancer journey resulting into hair loss or medical reasons.
Being a huge fan of self love, I recently kicked the hell out of my comfort zone and attended my amazing business coach’s wellness retreat in Ibiza. These 6 days consisted of meeting amazing fellow freelance stylists, empowering workshops and mind, body & soul sessions. It also included reflections on building my business for the future, morning yoga and meditation, and self-development. This was by far the best experience and completely life changing .
After meeting new clients, I always welcome feedback. This is incredibly important for me. I feel this is what really helps grow my business and to create more of a personal experience for my clients.
